Women Left With Scar After Her Tattoo Falls Off
Pasuda Reaw, aged 21 has been left with a horrific scar after her tattoo falls off following a tattoo removal technique. Pasuda is an art student from Udon Thani, Northern Thailand. She decided it was time to get rid of her large rose tattoo across her chest in order to look more professional at work.
Instead of going down the traditional laser removal route, she opted for an erasing technique called Rejuvi. Rejuvi is a laser-free alternative, which can be applied with a small tattoo gun. It claims to raise ink pigments to the surface of the skin and creates a scab that can be peeled off. Usually, this technique is said to work by speeding up the fading process. But in Pasuda case, it had a far more severe effects.
Pasuda started this treatment on the 4th February 2017. Following her treatment, she could not sleep because of the stinging, painful sensation and itchiness on her tattoo area. She cried all night, and for 10 days later the area had started to fill with puss, and the skin was peeling away. Eventually her tattoo completely fell off. However unfortunately this left a large mass of pink scar tissue on her chest, which looks similar to a burn.
Following her ordeal, Pasuda said, “What is left is worse than before. I do not recommend this treatment because it hurts so bad and takes a long time. Laser is a lot of money but I wish I had done that. At times the pain of the itching and the scar were unbearable.” Pasuda has shared her story and pictures to help warn others about the dangers of tattoo removal.
